The DefExpo 2018 event, held in Chennai from April 11th to April 14th, 2018, was an international exhibition that showcased India's defense, aerospace, and security capabilities to the world.
This year was the 10th edition of this biennial event with more than 25 global and Indian companies participating. The event was opened by the Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, on April 11, and inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on April 12.
As Nirmala Sitharaman said at a press conference at the event, more than 50% of the exhibition was made up of Indian manufacturers from small and medium industries. The Ministry of Defence later tweeted that on day 1 and 2 itself, there were numerous collaborations between foreign and local, public and private, and industry and academia entities, thus boosting the government’s Make in India initiative.

Vee Technologies is proud to have been a part of this prestigious event, with its booth attracting abundant interest from both foreign and national dignitaries. The Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, visited the Vee Technologies booth and showed interest in the engineering capabilities of the company, which has been serving the defence and aerospace industries for decades now.
Cameroon's Minister Delegate for Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo, was another enthusiastic visitor to the Vee Technologies booth. He was engrossed in conversation with Vee Technologies officials.
Officials from the armed forces also showed keen interest in Vee Technologies services, which spanned across the engineering, animation/e-learning, logistics, and IT & analytics industries.
